In this case, I selected these colleagues because of a shared vision of attaining the MSN program as many have similar experiences and even reasons for enrolling in this course.
Notes:
Excellence and comfort in nursing relies on nurses’ teaming up with their colleagues based on their interests and shared ideologies. Under the same program, students tackle similar assignment and explore concepts based on their diverse perspectives. These colleagues would be important in exploring and discussing issues and challenges that they encounter in the program based on its nature and the nature of nursing work. For instance, most of these colleagues may worry about attaining a perfect balance among the three areas of family life, work and professional life, and now advancing their education to meet the changing healthcare needs and population concerns (Chien, 2019). Establishing a support system would be important in forming further professional and even social networks to get employment and understand other critical aspects of nursing.

Nurses implement research evidence to enhance patient outcomes, the workplace environment and clinical practice using evidence-based practice. As such, the selection of this individual is based on her long-term advocacy on nurses advancing their education based on the Institute of Medicine’s report in 2010 (Lehane et al., 2019). The individual will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse through her motivational approach to advanced learning for nurses so that they can interpret research findings and integrate EBP in their practice settings. Through her resourcefulness in research, I will attain a better approach to its implementation upon completing my MSN based on her advice.
Notes:
Nurses require more information on professional practice demands, ideas for excellent care based on models like value based purchasing, and changes characterizing the delivery of care over time (Chien, 2019). The best and resource individuals to link with are those in such organizations and associations like the ANA. I will appreciate getting more advice from her based on the experience that she has gathered over the years in healthcare service provision.
Conclusion
Developing support from both professional and academic teams and individuals is essential for MSN program students as these two areas inform the type advancement that one attains. As illustrated, these individuals have sufficient skills and expertise as well as knowledge to offer essential and necessary support to navigate through the demands of the program. I believe that these individuals will be vital in my overall success in this MSN program to become an advanced nurse practitioner.
