I researched this topic at Walden library. The search engine used was Thoreau @ Walden University Library. The subject I chose was Nursing and searched all databases under nursing. The search terms used were Catheter access infection, and 72 results were shown in the last five years.When narrowed catheter access infections down to hemodialysis patients, there were only eight results shown. When added prevention or intervention to the search, only four results were found on this topic. No results were found in the last year. The results were published in the year 2016.
