Executive Summary Feedback Form
1. Do you believe the proposal would be approved if formally proposed?
I believe that the program has increased chances of getting approved by the facility because of the issues that it sets to address in connection with the provision of quality patient care. Effective communication is a vital component of quality care delivery and patients want better rapport with their healthcare providers and facilities. The project is unique based on its multiple interventions to improve communication. I strongly believe that the approval of this proposal is high since it accrues several benefits not just for the organization but also the patients by reducing incidences of adverse events, from medication errors to hospital acquired infections that all occur due to lack of better coordination stemming from ineffective communication and standard protocols in the facility. The second aspect of this project is that it targets all professionals in the organization implying that none of the healthcare workers can work without the input from others. For instance, the nurse requires the physician to implement the situation, background, assessment, and recommendation (SBAR) protocol to improve communication in different components of the medication administration process (Coolen et al., 2020). Again, shift handover is essential and through this program, the different stakeholders, particularly nurses, will offer sufficient information to their colleagues to ensure that all information is available to them to make relevant decisions.

The use of the SBAR communication tool will ensure that nurses complete the handover efficiently and effectively to allow the others develop and coordinate all medication processes and procedures promptly, particularly ascertaining that there are not glaring errors. Effective communication based on evidence-based models like the SBAR communication tool reduces failures among providers and enhances rapport as well as coordination and patient satisfaction (Mulfiyanti et al., 2021). Therefore, the suggested tool in the proposal is relevant making the program contain strengths leading to its approval by the organization.
2. What are some strengths and weaknesses of the proposal?
Strengths
The proposal comprises several strengths that include implementation that will involve staff, especially nurses who shall work in coordination with other providers like the physicians in their different areas of interest. The implementation will allow nurses to get educational benefits since they will coordinate the program and incorporate other healthcare workers in the facility. Imperatively, the program is all encompassing as it involves all providers and other critical stakeholders like patients (Müller et al., 2018). The interaction with peers and patients will enable the nurses to gain more skills and deploy them in different areas of their productivity and performance in the organization.
Again, the program requires an inter-professional collaboration approach which is a strength as it implies that individuals in the organization will work together to implement its different components to deliver better outcomes. Working collaboratively is a critical strength as it demonstrates the need for integration of all healthcare workers and professionals in the organization to attain the set goals of better care provision for patients, especially reducing adverse events like medication errors and patient falls. Collaboration among nurses, physicians, and hospital administrators as well as pharmacists and other stakeholders would be critical to not only enhancing communication but also coordination and having a shared or common approach to provision of patient care to different health populations. The implication is that the program contains several strengths that make it practical in improving overall care delivery in the facility.
Weaknesses
Despite the strengths contained in the proposal, weak areas are bound and include limited resources since there are many competing g needs within any healthcare facility. Secondly, the program is a trial aspect and may not integrate all areas of care provision for the facility. It is essential for the stakeholders to set sufficient resources and allow for additional interventions as some of the interventions to address the possible weak areas.
