NRNP 6665 Week 3 Assignment 2: Study Plan Paper
NRNP 6665 Week 3 Assignment 2: Study Plan Paper
NRNP 6665 Week 3 Assignment 2: Study Plan Paper
Exams for national certification need a study plan. Students need a method to monitor their preparation for tests and track their progress (Lavin et al., 2022). The study schedule will help me zero in on the material at hand, get my thoughts in order, and figure out what tasks need more attention from me and which ones I can do on my own. This study strategy will prevent me from procrastinating and cramming for exams. After completing the pre-test, I discovered my strengths and potential. I will also describe the goals and activities of my study plan. I will conclude by discussing how I will evaluate my progress and the tools I will need.
A Summary of Strengths and Opportunities
As mentioned earlier, it is essential to consider both strengths and development opportunities while establishing an appropriate strategy. Among my strengths,I am confident in pharmacology and physical examination ofpatients of all age groups. Furthermore, it has been observed that I possess proficiency in modifying cognitive conditions, medical background assessment, physical evaluation, and interrogation techniques. Conversely, it has come to my attention that there is a need for enhancement in my approach toward the care of minors and young adults. This phenomenon could potentially stem from a lack of familiarity with children and adolescents. Additionally, I require enhancement of my comprehension of genomes, epigenetics, and neurophysiology.
Goals and Tasks
Goal 1: Exercising self-control by strictly following my designated study timetable and perusing diverse literature to aid in my preparation for the certification examination.
- Task 1: Establish a weekly calendar to assist me in completing my daily studies.
- Task 2: List the time permitted for studying
- Task 3: Request feedback from my instructor and preceptor on how I’m doing.
Goal 2: After this session, thoroughly go through the PMHNP Certification Review Guide to learn more.
- Task 1: Continue reviewing the course content every day;
- Task 2: Each week, read a few parts of the study guide
- Task 3: Allocate adequate time to review the test requirements.
Goal 3: Identify the places where I have greater confidence, such as examining anxiety among patients, and work on improving those areas.
- Task 1: Once a week, make a list of my areas of strength.
- Task 2: Use the materials from my course to build on my areas of strength.
- Task 3: Request that my colleagues quiz me on the readings.
Goal 4: Analyze the effectiveness of my theoretical investigation.
- Task 1: Identify my weakest area and spend more time there.
- Task 2: Make a list of my in-depth understanding of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and evaluation.
- Task 3: Leverage the educational resources and weekly tasks provided in the course to enhance proficiency in the identified domains.

Keeping tabs on my PMHNP test preparation is essential if I want to succeed. I plan to keep tabs on my progress toward the aforementioned objectives and commitments every week. After I finish my revision, I’ll make a list of what went well and what needs improvement about the topics I worked on that day. I will schedule a time to go back and address those issues (Delaney, 2019). This will allow me to gauge how well I am preparing for the test and whether or not my strategy is working. During my pursuit of a master’s degree at Walden University, I aim to assess my advancement in the institution’s predetermined aims and objectives. I plan to examine each course individually, giving more weight to the assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation that I have previously completed (Ma et al., 2021). The next step is to make a list of my strengths and areas where I know I can improve before upgrading my portfolio. I have been periodically augmenting the inventory to render my ultimate objective more feasible.
The Resources to be Used to Accomplish the Tasks and Goals
During my three terms of PRAC 6665, I plan to use the PMHNP Review Manual as one of my primary study aids by reading and testing its contents each week (Speight et al., 2019). When the semester is finished, I will go back to the tasks I have not completed. I could use a guide like the PMHNP Resource Manual to learn more about mental health diagnoses and available treatments. In my last class, I plan to lead discussion groups where we will go through assigned readings and quiz each other on the material. It will be possible to form a study group thanks to my strong ties to both other students and Walden University. I want to assemble a small discussion group of around four to six students to use videoconferencing tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams for our meetings (Coppa & Barcelos Winchester, 2020). In addition, we will have time to peruse any ANCCA-recommended internet resources that may be useful in preparing for the certification tests.
Conclusion
The difficulty I encounter in preparing for my national examination lies not in formulating a study strategy, but in adhering to it and utilizing the available resources efficiently. My major objective is to succeed in my certification exams, and doing so will require efficient use of resources. I am going to schedule how much time I will spend studying each day leading up to the test. During this time, I want to read as many relevant books and articles as possible to help me accomplish my objectives.
