The MMSE score sheet is an elemental tool used to detect cognitive impairment. It involves a series of questions that check orientation, attention and calculation, recall, language, repetition, reading, writing, and coping (Choe et al., 2020). It is based on a total score of 30. Following my assessment, I obtained a total of 29 points indicative of normal cognitive function. It was fun going through this assessment. It was logical and required active listening to be able to go through all the questions. The assessment is also rapid and provides a faster way of assessing cognitive function. However, accurate administration of this test requires evaluation and correct scoring by a healthcare practitioner.
