Initial Post
For this discussion, you will take part in a role-play. Assume one of the following roles as you review one of your peers’ Health Policy Presentations (submitted in Assignment 13.1: Contemporary Health Policy Project: Presentation) in Bongo. Be sure to choose a peer presentation that has not been selected for review already. If needed, perform a web search to review the description of the role you select.
Healthcare administrator: Designs, implements, and evaluates program delivery; advocates business model to board of directors.
Physician: Can lead healthcare team to provide medical care and implementation of best practices that promote health.
Local or state legislator: Advocates for policy change internally and externally at the local, state, and national levels.
APRN: Can lead healthcare team as coordinator, updates plan of care, monitors and revises treatments to achieve stated patient goal.
Researcher: Recommends clinical issues to study; advocates for research participation and assists in data collection; designs research studies, seeks funding, and implements research.
