Clouds and Concealed ConduitsThe distribution and sharing of information is a critical stage in the information dissemination process. However, what is even more important is the means through which information is distributed. Due to advancements in information technology, cloud sharing has become an integral component of information sharing. Primarily, cloud computing aids information sharing by eliminating the prejudices and perspectives that an individual may have from the equation (Radvanovsky & McDougall, 2013). Cloud enables data to become accessible to a greater community. Also, the process allows data to become exposed to a variety of intermediaries before its transformation into information. Further, the information that is disseminated through cloud is more accessible and is also available in an interim form and not simply in the final form. According to the Freedom of Information Act (FOA), federal government agencies are required to offer information when requested by a public member (“FOA Basics”, n.d). However, sharing some information may be dangerous due to tis sensitive hence the need of using cloud as concealed conduit. Mos importantly, the concealed conduits are not only important to public agencies but also to private entities wishing to share information. Identifying cloud as such leads to sharing and disseminating information in a manner that is confidential thereby eliminating risks to the management. To do this, cloud computing operates based on the trusted computing base (TCB) principle. Further, concealed conduits are important since they are accredited by relevant authorities. The accreditation and certification result into a system that complies with certain standards, thus totally annihilating the possibility of unacceptable risk levels manifesting.
